On August 10th, Hasty Page and The Lake George Beach Club hosted A Day at the Lake Music Festival at the Lake George Amphitheater. Hasty Page was the blast band to play that night and I just had enough time to rush from Fort Edward to Lake George to shoot them play! After my senior session with Sara (scroll down a post tp read about her shoot) I zoomed over and jumped right into it. Their entire set was incredible and I enjoyed shooting them in an outdoor location opposed to indoors. My favorite set was when they played Get Out of My Head. The energy was absolutely incredible and if you haven’t gotten to see them live yet, definitely make a stop in their next gig! If you don’t believe me, look at these photos and their energy can speak for itself.
Sunflowers and Sara
Sara’s senior shoot was a blast! We shot in a private location that’s owned by one of their family friends. They had a beautiful garden with flowers, plus a field with wild flowers growing. Right when I pulled up to the property it started raining but luckily not too hard. For the first few shots we used an umbrella to help shield some of the rain and then eventually the rain went away. I think its really funny that the sky was stormy during this shoot because we utilized sunflowers a lot and the only other time I have done a senior shoot with sunflowers, it was also raining and stormy. The darker Skys made for some cool contrast and the sun peeked out for the second half of the session. I loved working with Sara because she was so genuine and pure. It was so easy to pull a real smile out of her and she looked gorgeous in every shot I took of her!
Olivia's Senior Shoot
For Olivia’s shoot, we went to Dunham’s Bay on Lake George, NY. Her family has a boat docked there so we decided to take a few with Olivia by the docks and on her boat. We used Dunham’s Bay Resort as well as the lake for a beautiful background. The light was absolutely gorgeous and I couldn’t have asked for a better location. I loved Olivia’s outfit choice because it fit perfectly with the lake vibes and it was super easy to take photos of her in. A tip to all of you who will be getting your photos taken in: solid colors are always a great choice for outfits because it will go with almost any background and make you stand out! For a couple photos her mom also joined in. Those will be perfect to post on mother’s day ;) We ended with photos in the water and luckily for us the water was warm! Olivia went all the way into the water at the end and it made for some awesome photos! Thanks for another incredible shoot!
