Back in November, I did a sibling shoot with Tim and his sister, Shelby! They wanted to surprise their mom with photos for Christmas. Now, I got to take photos of Tim by himself for his senior portraits. He loved the location that we shot at before so we went back and did something similar in downtown Glens Falls, NY. We started off by Crandall library and did some shots of Tim with his basketball. I love incorporating a sport or interest with seniors because I want their shoot to be completely about them! After we took a few more shots in downtown, we headed to a nearby parking garage. Tim really liked this location when we shot there with his sister, so we went back. Because we had shot there before, I wanted to make sure to do some different things than I had done with him in that location last time. Because it was with just Tim, we had more time to get creative with shots of just him as well! I had fun playing with lighting and poses! We got some pretty good smiles out of him as well :)
Chloe's Senior Shoot
Chloe’s senior shoot was nothing less of perfect! Not only did I have a beautiful subject to photograph, but we also had an amazing location. Photographing Chloe’s senior photos had a special place in my heart because she is actually my cousin! Growing up (and still to this day) we always took photos of each other for fun and even for instagram. Chloe is always so easy to get good photos of and its really fun for both of us to do as well. Shelving Rock Falls was the perfect place to do her photos because Chloe has always been really adventurous and I would say she definitely belongs in nature. The lighting, setting, and even Chloe’s outfits were PERFECT. Thank you to Chloe and my assistant, Selah, for being adventurous enough to climb the waterfall to get some cool shots! I couldn’t be happier with the results.
Color
Selah came to me with the incredible idea to do a shoot solely based on color and I was in for it! We decided to try to pick a few colors and make solid outfits with different shades of the solid colors and use the same color backdrop or environment. We went shopping for some outfits and used some of our already owned clothes as well. We also invited a photographer friend of mine, Danny Prager, to shoot along with us as well. In his shots Selah and I both modeled! (To check out his photos follow his instagram page >>> https://www.instagram.com/dp.1524/ )
During the shoot, the three of us mainly walked around downtown Glens falls, NY with planned buildings and sites to match the colors. For the color red (which was by far my favorite to shoot) we went to target and one other disclosed location. I can’t give all of my secrets away! Thank you to Selah for such an amazing idea and Danny for taking photos with us as well. Im super excited about this shoot! Which color is your favorite that we did?
