I’ve been working with the Nadler family for quite some time now. I’ve assisted my mom, with Collignon Photography, for years of their family’s shoots, and I’ve done some on my own as well. Zoee and Cooper are the only two siblings in the family and both of them are beginning to grow up very fast. Cooper is only 13! Yeah, you heard that right. He’s literally so tall, even compared to his sister who is not short herself. Zoee is attending Marist College (which if you look back to my blog this summer you can find her college reveal party). Zoee and her brother decided to get some photos done of just the two of them, but time was of the essence. I rushed over just before sunset and we took photos outside at her house. I absolutely love the ones on the road!!!! Then I used a ring light when the natural light wasn’t cutting it anymore in their backyard. I had the ring light a little farther away and it gave a harder light effect that I actually came to like. Something about it reminds me of an album cover or something in high fashion!
Holiday Minis
Last Friday, we did some cute holiday mini sessions in Crandall Park, Glensfalls! It was a particularly cold day, around 10 degrees, and I was very bundled up and prepared for all the cold was going to bring. I brought a vintage couch that my mom owns and dragged it through the snow to the middle of the park. Yes, many cars going through the park slowed down to watch me struggle as I had to bring it out and put it back. It was all worth it because the photos that came out were so beautiful! Thanks to everyone for sticking it through the cold and having a great time shooting with me!
Meet Olivia, Shea, and Alexa! These three girls were honestly a little hard to tell apart at first because of their similar complexions and they are all so gorgeous. I had to ask them their names a couple times to get it straight in my head. If you know me, you will know that getting names right isn’t always my string suit, but I will remember a face forever, I loved working with them and posing came so natural to the three girls. Also, any photographer would know that working in multiples of three is a dream!!! Composition is so pleasing this way!
Next meet Paige and Paige! Now those are some names I was able to remember! These two besties were definitely the least dressed compared to everyone else with coats, but honestly I think their red shirts looked so nice and complimented the atmosphere perfectly. I love the extra pop that it gave to the photo. I bet their favorite pose was when I wrapped the in the blanket because of how chilly it actually was outside. Thanks for still looking amazing and being down for anything even though it was under 20 degrees outside!
Meet Bri and Pat! I used to work with Bri at Olive Garden and she had always asked me about getting photos done with her and her boyfriend who had been together for over 4 years. Well its about time :) These two were so fun to work with! They brought little cake pops and coffee’s to use in the photos (and to have as a treat afterwards). I loved how laid back and connected they were. The best part is that they are such a cute couple and they will get to cherish these images forever.
Vogue
No, this isn’t a real VOGUE cover!!! This fall i’m finishing up my second to last semester at SUNY Adirondack. I decided to take an advertising photography class and I’ve learned more than I ever have in photography. While I am a big fan of natural light, I’ve used strobes and flashes for most of the projects I’ve presented to the class. (Also, if anyone is considering taking this class I highly recommend and I think Brandon Segal is an amazing professor for it!) In this class I have been mostly shooting products, but these last couple assignments I’ve been able to shoot portraits, which I am SUPER HAPPY about :) Here’s a recreation of a VOGUE cover I created last week with the help of Kayla Denny. Isn’t she beautiful???? Thanks for joining in on this little chat and taking some time to check out my work!
