On May 18th, I asked a few local photographers I they would go on a little adventure with me. Not all could make it, but of those who could met up to explore an photograph an abandoned hotel. I won't say much about the adventure or post many pictures on this blog post. If you want to find out more you'll have to watch the video!!! Thanks to Aaron for videoing this experience and Liam, Hannah, and Dan (even though he left early :p) for coming and taking some rad photos together! College Reveal
I've been meaning to put this post out for a while, but with the busy work schedule and a couple issues with my computer, it has been postponed until now. My team and I were super excited to be a apart of this very unique event and it was an awesome experience to capture Zoee's story! Zoee Nadler and her family put on a rad party that replaced her graduation party so she could reveal which college she picked to attend to her closest friends and family. It was down to Ithaca College and Marist College and the whole party was themed with blue and red. Friends came with ideas on what college they thought she had picked and some wore teeshirts for either Ithaca or Marist. A table with two photos of Zoee's photos on them allowed the guests to sign the frames on which college they though shed be attending. The family revealed her college choice by letting go of red balloons and one that was a big "M", as well as lighting off red smoke bombs! Marist it is! It was really cool to see how much enthusiasm all of the Nadler's friends and family had for Zoee and everyone was really proud. Thanks for letting us capture this unique event, Zoee! Congratulations on your college choice and good luck in the years ahead.
See You Soon
As some of you may know, I attended SUNY ADK this past year for photography or specifically the media arts program. Throughout the year, I met some pretty rad people and made some pretty cool new photo buddies to go on adventures with; one of them being John. With John, it was different because we had a video class together and spoke to each other a couple times, but it wasn't until the very end of the year that we actually spent any time together. During the last week of classes, John was helping me with a video project, along with some others, and he whipped out his fancy drone ;) and took some videos for me. After that we decided to go on a little adventure a few days later and spent a good 5 hours taking photos together, chilling, and then we ate some pretty good pizza. I learned a lot about him during that day and thought it was pretty interesting that we both grew up with one of our parents being a photographer. Although we had a super fun time snapping some pics our time together ended pretty quickly because he went back to Long Island for the summer. I definitely look forward to seeing him again for some more photos and good times. See you soon my friend!
-Here are some photos that I took through out the day of exploring. Please enjoy this adventure :)
