Last week Heather and I went to Lake George and wandered around the village for some adventurous shots! We started out on a walking bridge that goes over I-87 and quickly discovered that although it was warming up for winter (40 degrees), the wind was still whipping through the air. On the way to the bridge, Heather followed me in her car and my Google Maps almost got us lost, but I ended up figuring out where we were. We then headed down by the village and took a few shots there when we noticed people walking out on the ice. Heather told me she’d be up to do the same, so we headed down and we found our way to the edge of the lake. Can I just say how awesome she was?? Heather was totally down for anything and she walked across the ice in heels! About a half hour before the sun set, we started taking photos from the middle of the lake. My favorite part of the landscape behind her is how the horizon is cut off so clearly by the beautiful ADK mountains. When the sun began to set, the sky started turning pink and purple. The outcome of these photos were so amazing and it was definitely worth freezing my feet off on the ice in converse hightops and feeling my fingertips go numb! Thanks for an amazing shoot, Heather! I can’t wait to work with you again when its warm!!!
