In January of 2017, I decided to start Autumn Moon Portraits! My mom, Becky Collignon, had been the main reason I got into the art of photography. I've always been artistic and I dabbled in videography and graphic design for a while in high school, but photography was where my passion really soared. With my mother's photography business, Collignon Photography, I had gained some pretty solid experience second shooting for her and learning how to be confident behind the camera and how to help the subject be comfortable in front of it. On my own, I had done many shoots with my friends with my trusty canon and even with my iPhone at times. As my first official shoot with my business, I decided to go to the Shirt Factory in Glensfalls, NY. If you haven't been there you should definitely check it out. It's a really cool building (that is very easy to get lost in) and it used to be a shirt factory that is now used for local businesses; and in my case a good place to take photos. Through out this shoot I wasn't really sure what I wanted the outcome to be, but I definitely wanted to play with high key and contrasty images. Many black and white images came out of this, but who doesn't love a classic black and white? Looking back, I've definitely improved in my craft from when I first started, but I love to reminisce on these old goodies!!!
